Life Science, Cell Biology and Genetics

I found the following sites useful while working with my kids on topics related to life science, cell biology, and genetics. Those highlighted in yellow are appropriate for use with a college level course (as recommended by The Teaching Company Course, Biology: The Science of Life). Along with the Teaching Company Course, the following textbooks are also highly recommended:

• Biology, 6th ed., by Neil A. Campbell and Jane B. Reece
• Life: The Science of Biology by William K. Purves et al
• Biology Fundamentals by Gilbert D. Brum, Larry McKane, and Garry Karp (This one is a little older and harder to get, but it is easier to read than the others. There's also a student study guide available to go with it.)
